Having spoken with Charlotte about her new products recently, I was really excited to receive samples of all three flavours of her Flavour Fusion, those being the Original, the Garlic & the Chilli.
Charlotte's passion for her product is so apparent and has lead to Good Carma being offered shelf space in no other than the well know and loved chain of Waitrose! No less than 47 stores will be stocking her Flavour Fusion range .. No small achievement in itself, but also having Queenswood Foods And Greencity Wholefoods Distribution interested too, it seems she is off to a very good start.
So, my first impression was how professional and attractive the packaging is, very easy to use, a good size and well labelled too.
My first flavour to try is Chilli. I have a great recipe for a winter casserole / layer bake which needed a little spiging up so that was my idea for the first recipe trial.
My recipe involves layers of potato, carrots, onion, sweet potato, butternut squash and garlic fried mushrooms all baked in a vegetable stock with a little pepper, sage and a stock cube. This can be a little bland so I decided to add the Chilli Flavour Fusion in layers then on the top slices of potatoes to crispen them up and give the whole recipe some life. You can use most sliceable veg for this recipe, including leeks, parsnips, swede etc .. Whatever you have some leftovers of that need using up!
Here are a few photo's of the method to give you an idea of the quantity I used and how I used it.
My final test was with the Original, this I used on a vegan pizza style meal, the taste was lovely, no too spicy but it definitely lifted the whole dish. To accompany the mini pizza's, I made a mediteranean stir fry with mushrooms, onions, olives, sweet potato and garlic .. and of course a good sprinkle of the Flavour Fusion Original.

Rebecca sent us this lovely review :
"After winning a competition for Good Carma - Flavour Fusions, I've been enjoying them so much I thought I'd let other people know how yummy they are! If you get the chance to buy a bottle I recommend the garlic one as it gives a great depth to vegetable soups but the classic and chilli ones are really tasty too!"
